Offered here is the great Seve Ballesteros' official Team Europe vest from the 1989 Ryder Cup. Included is a 1990 note on Seve letterhead which Seve inscribed and signed when giving this vest for a Charity event. That note is quite faded, but is dated one year after the 1989 Ryder Cup, which resulted in a 14-14 tie - allowing Team Europe to retain the Cup.
Made by Glenmuir, and made of cashmere. We have not yet located a photo of Seve wearing this vest during the Ryder Cup, but we found multiple photos of Captain Tony Jacklin wearing this style vest, including one with Seve in the background.
Letter of provenance on Seve letterhead reads:
"Dear Mr. Lawrence, Thank you for your letter. I send you through Emilo Botin, Seve personal items for your Christmas charity raffle, which I hope will be a great success. Yours sincerely, Seve Ballesteros."
