Offered here is an actual winner's trophy from the World Golf Championships World Cup. This is a highly impressive Wedgwood trophy named The John Hopkins Trophy.

The WGC World Cup was a team event that was held from 2000-2006. It then continued for another 12 years as a non-WGC event.

The WGC World Cup has been won by some impressive teams of golfers over the years including Tiger Woods-David Duval, Ernie Els-Retief Goosen, and Paul Casey-Luke Donald. One of the most iconic golf shots of Tiger Woods' career happened at the 2001 WGC World Cup - when he holed his must-make eagle chip to force a playoff.

Absolutely stunning original WGC World Cup trophy that was once on display at the World Golf Hall of Fame.

14 5/8" tall, 11 1/2" diameter at the top, 6 5/8" square base. Made by Wedgwood, absolutely stunning piece, large, incredible detail, with sterling silver inside bowl.

This is being consigned to auction directly by the World Golf Hall of Fame - St Augustine. We have partnered with the World Golf Hall of Fame to bring our clients some important treasures from its collection. The World Golf Hall of Fame migrated to a smaller footprint in Pinehurst, NC after 25 years at its Florida location. This presented a perfect opportunity to share some relics not making the trip to our network of golf collectors around the globe.
