This lot consists of the walking stick third from the right, a beautiful c.1900s AH Scott Elie, 35 1/4" socket head driver walking stick.  Stamped "A.H. Scott, Elie, Earlsferry" beneath a stamped rampant lion and kings crown. Has original horn slip with three pegs, lead backweight and metal tip at the end of the shaft.  Ball is for perspective only and is not included in this lot.

All the walking sticks in the group photo came from a single consignor.  Great collection - Great opportunity!

Walking sticks were also sometimes call "Sabbath sticks." The church of Scotland discouraged golf on Sunday, but for some people out for a walk on the 7th day it was not a problem to drop a ball and stroke it along with their walking stick reversed
