Offered here is a rare autographed photo of the great Ted Ray, which Ray himself dated 1936. Ted Ray famously won the 1912 Open Championship and the 1920 US Open. And to Americans, he may even be more famous for his role in the 1913 US Open vs Francis Ouimet and Harry Vardon. Needless to say, autographed photographs of Ted Ray are exceptionally rare, as Ray passed away in 1943. 

The overall piece measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4", and inside the mat is 5 3/4" x 7 3/4". Stamped on the reverse by Sport & General Press Agency of London.
