Produced briefly in 1933, Faroids have long ranked as one of the most desirable golf balls in existence. Their concentric ring cover is recognizable from over 10 feet away. They were designed to be struck a certain way in order to maximize the flight characteristics provided by their raised concentric ridges, hopefully to reduce hooks and slices. The pole of each ball is even marked "This End Up" to remind the golfer.

Of course the obvious problem with using this ball, even if it performed as hoped, was the golfer was not allowed to touch their ball through the green. Consequently, he or she was guaranteed only 18 (tee) shots with the end of the ball positioned properly at impact....

Marked "Faroid This End Up" on both poles and "Liquid Center" on the equator, the Faroid offered here is unused. There are significant cracks in the cover, but the ball still presents great detail and the paint still has its "new" shine.
