Sporing an oversize oval face much like a niblick, this iron is listed in Spalding's 1897 catalog as a "Driving Niblick." The iron has its original 39 3/4" shaft and sheepskin grip. "The Spalding" stamped on both the head and shaft. This very club is pictured and identified in Jim Cooper's Spalding Addendum published july 1, 1986. Another wonderful early American iron.
