Covered under a 1903 US patent issued to Willie Dunn Jr., this center-shafted putter head is made from Pyralin, a type of vulcanized rubber, and is stamped "Kemshall Mfg. Co, Arlington, NJ" on the top of its head.  In a 1904 advertisement for this putter, the Kempshall Mfg Co stated that pyralin is "more resilient than wood and is waterproof and practically indestructible."

The original 33" shaft still has its original sheepskin grip. There are three lead weights in the back of the head that are covered with Pyralin. Their circular outline is visible when viewing the back of the head.

Most Kempshall putters have a brass face, but this putter is original without the brass face and still has its light scoring lines.  Lovely original condition.
