Doug Ford's 2005 Masters Bag

   For the last few years, Taylor Made has been producing special custom bags for its staff members to use during Major Championships.  2 examples are made for each player at each Major.  One is given to the player to use, and the other is often auctioned for charity or given to a high-profile executive.  (Check out our archived auctions for the 2003 PGA Championship bag of Sergio Garcia for reference).  Since only 2 of each bag exist, they are obviously extremely difficult to find.

    Presented here is not the back-up bag that was produced, but Masters Champion Doug Ford's actual bag given to him for the 2005 Masters Tournament.  Due to Augusta's rule changes a few years ago, Doug Ford is too old to play in the Masters Tournament anymore, despite the fact that he is a Masters Champion.  Mr. Ford still comes back every year, however, to attend the Champions' Dinner and to play the Par 3 course with fellow Champions like Bob Goalby.  The bag itself is remarkable, and would make a great additional to any golf collection.
