       Contestant's pins from Major Championships are obviously extremely rare, as only one is made for each tournament participant and few tour pros ever part with them.  Two primary factors help determine the value of such contestant's pins - the winner of the tournament and the player who used the pin, if known.  In this auction, we are proud to present some of the most incredible contestant pins ever offered for sale to the public - including pins from all 4 major championships which make up the "Tiger Slam." 

        Presented here is a contestant's pin from one of the most famous golf tournaments of the last 50 years - the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.  At this tournament, it seemed as if Tiger Woods went from being the best player of the moment to one of the greatest of all time.  Never again would putting Tiger in the same sentence as Bobby Jones or Jack Nicklaus be questioned.  To be able to own such a significant piece of history from that tournament is truly amazing.  This contestant's pin was obtained directly from John Daly.
