Henry Cotton 1928 Golf
Trophy
Presented here is a truly unique golf trophy that was presented to three-time
British Open Champion Henry Cotton in 1928. This is a spectacular early
golf trophy, as this piece is from an incredible six years before his first
British Open win, and even two years before his first-ever professional win.
This interesting crystal and silver trophy is inscribed on top of the handle
"Croydon and district professional golfer's alliance. Langley Park G.C. 14th
February 1928 Won by T.H. Cotton and E.H. Potter."
