1949 Masters Pairings Sheet

As anyone who has attended the Masters knows, Augusta National provides each spectator with free pairings sheets letting everyone know what time each player is teeing off  In fact, this practice was invented by Augusta National.  Presented here is the earliest Masters Pairings Sheet that we have ever offered - from the 1949 Masters Tournament.  The 1949 Masters Tournament is one of the most famous tournaments in Masters history, as Sam Snead won his first Masters and, more importantly, was the first person ever awarded the Green Jacket.  While now widely considered one of the most significant "trophies" in all of sport, then it was simply a curious green blazer that was awarded to the winner.  Vintage Masters pairings sheets are rare for a basic reason - as you can imagine, not many of these simple pieces of paper were saved for the last 60 years.
