1941 L.A. Open Contestant's Badge
The Los Angeles Open (currently
Northern Trust Open) is one of the longest-running events on Tour. It started in
1926, and has seen a Who's Who of Champions, including Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson,
Sam Snead, and Arnold Palmer. The tournament began its current relationship with
Riviera Country Club in 1973, but some golf fans forget that the L.A. Open
rotating among several other courses in its first few decades of existence.
Presented here is an actual
contestant's badge from the 1941 L.A. Open. Interestingly, the 1941 tournament
was also held at famed Riviera Country Club. This impressive vintage badge is in
great condition.
