The Ryder Cup
Gene Sarazen's Personal
1977 Hall of Fame Induction Presentation
Gift
The Gene Sarazen Estate
We are very privileged to have the opportunity to auction off numerous items
from the Gene Sarazen Estate. Each of these items comes from the personal
collection of the late Gene Sarazen. This is the first time that any of the
items have been offered for sale.
Offered here is a
truly exceptional piece of Gene Sarazen and Hall of Fame memorabilia. 13 golfers
were inducted into the Inaugural World Golf Hall of Fame class in 1977. Each of
those golfers (or their family members) were awarded a spectacular presentation
piece, which measures 10" x 13" and contains silver medallions for each inductee
- Patty Berg, Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Bryon Nelson, Jack Nicklaus,
Francis Ouimet, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, Harry
Vardon, and Babe Zaharias.
This is Gene Sarazen's personal Hall of Fame induction presentation piece. With
only 13 original examples in existence, in all likelihood you will never see one
of these ever offered again. This comes from Mr. Sarazen's personal collection and comes with a letter of
provenance from renowned collector Mark Emerson, who is assisting the Sarazen Estate
with the proper disposition of Mr. Sarazen's personal items.
