            In 1964, Popular Mechanics magazine approached Arnold Palmer for an experiment; they wanted Arnold Palmer to play a round of golf with modern clubs and a round of golf with hickory shafted clubs. The club presented here is a custom hickory shafted mid-iron made especially for Arnold Palmer and used for this Popular Mechanics experiment and resulting article.
