The Ryder Cup
Significant Bobby Jones Signed Pinehurt
No. 2 Scorecard
From Victor East Hole-in-One
On May 23, 1932, Bobby Jones played a two-man best ball match on one of the most
famous golf courses in the world - Pinehurst No. 2. During that historic match,
on the daunting 215 yard 4th hole, Jones' friend, collaborator and Spalding
clubmaker J. Victor East made an improbable hole-in-one. In the clubhouse
following the round, Jones and East signed and dated this scorecard from
Pinehurst No. 2 with a hole-in-one score listed for hole #4.
As if this piece could get any better, a prior owner created a stunning leather
bound portfolio for the piece - complete with pictures of the great Bobby Jones
playing the historic round at Pinehurst, and a quote from Jones about his
formidable opponents on that fateful day. The leather portfolio is in mint
condition and comes in a handsome slipcover case.
Without question, the historical nature of this scorecard and the fact that it
come on Jones' famous 1932 visit to Pinehurst make this among the most desirable
Bobby Jones signed scorecards in existence.
Bobby Jones' autograph was authenticated by PSA/DNA in 2004, and has been
further authenticated by Green Jacket Auctions and entered into our
authentication database.
