MacGregor Tommy Armour
3852S Putter Used By Arnold Palmer
Here is a nice example of the famous 3852S green shafted Macgregor Tommy Armour putter of the late 1930's/early 1940's. These clubs were known for their superb balance and feel, and have been coveted by enthusiasts for many years. This particular example is quite special, as it was used briefly by none other than "The King" himself, Arnold Palmer. Included with the lot are 2 photos of Palmer using the putter and a letter from noted classic club authority, Bobby Farino of American Golf Classics. The letter states that while "Mr. Palmer did not win the Master's with this putter, he did enjoy taking a few practice putts with it". For even a casual collector, here is an item that can be appreciated both as a wonderful (and still very playable) classic putter, and a club that was used, albeit briefly, by one of the most popular and beloved figures in the game.
