Rare 1899 Golfing Jug

             Presented here is what may be the most significant piece of golf pottery that we've ever sold. This is truly exceptional circa 1899 "Golfing Jug" by Simon Peter Gerz of Lohr, Germany. This cobalt blue, salt glazed jug boldly features golf figures in relief around the circumference.

             This 9" tall jug contains the original maker's mark on the bottom. The last one we saw was in remarkable condition as this wnet for over $5000.
