Offered here is an exceptional 1928 letter on White House Letterhead from President Calvin Coolidge and his son John to Gene Sarazen. According to TIME Magazine's Weekly News, two weeks prior to this letter, Gene Sarazen and Johnny Farrell were called to the White House to meet with President Calvin Coolidge. Sarazen presented President Coolidge with a photograph and Coolidge remarked "John is the golfer in our family." President Coolidge then passed the golf photograph to his son, who wrote this letter to Gene Sarazen about two weeks later. And he did so on his dad's White House letterhead!

This 1928 White House letter is being consigned today directly by Gene Sarazen's Estate, and includes a letter of provenance from Sarazen's daughter, Mary Ann Sarazen.
