Offered here is Gene Sarazen's personally owned photograph with his favorite Augusta National caddie, Stovepipe, who was on the bag and providing critical insight during Sarazen's epic comeback in the 1935 Masters Tournament. As the legend goes, as they approached the 15th hole, Sarazen famously asked his caddie, What do I need to win?" Stovepipe responded "Three, three, three, three." Sarazen went on to strike the "shot heard round the world," holing out for double eagle on 15. That shot is often credited with helping to put the fledgling Masters Tournament on the map.

This incredible photograph of Gene Sarazen and Stovepipe has been hand dated 1935 on the reverse. This photograph was owned by Gene Sarazen since the 1930s and is being consigned today by the Gene Sarazen Estate.

5" x 7". PSA Type 1.

Letter of Authenticity from Mary Ann Sarazen [Gene Sarazen Estate]
