Masters Tournament Used Pin Flag

        Let me guess - you thought Merion Golf Club only uses wicker baskets, not pin flags, right? Well, you'd be wrong.

        Offered here is one of the rarest course-used flags in existence - a course-used pin flag from famed Merion Golf Club. Because of all the attention Merion gets with its wicker basket standards, most everyone overlooks the fact that those wicker baskets are only used on 18 of Merion's 36 holes. Indeed, Merion's West course uses rather traditional pin flags. Offered here is one of those rare course-used Merion flags. While we've known about these Merion flags for years, this is only the second such example that we are aware of that has ever come up for sale at public auction - and the first "red" flag we've been able to locate.
