Significant Augusta National

Dwight Eisenhower & Bobby Jones Gold Locket

Offered here is one of the more significant pieces of Augusta National memorabilia that we've ever encountered.

This is a one of a kind Augusta National solid gold locket that was a gift from Dwight Eisenhower, Mamie Eisenhower, Bobby Jones & Clifford Roberts.

The Eisenhowers, Jones and Roberts gave this unique locket to Lowrey Stulb, the architect of Mamie's Cabin at Augusta National.

Simply put, we've never seen anything like this. This intricate locket is in the shape of Augusta National's United States logo, and is engraved with the signatures of the Eisenhowers, Jones and Roberts, and imprinted with images of Mamie's Cabin and the Eisenhowers. The back of the locket is engraved with the recipient, Lowrey Stulb.

The locket measures 1 3/8" x 1", and is in excellent condition.

This locket is being consigned directly from the Stulb family. It has never been offered for sale before, though it was mentioned in these two articles by The Augusta Chronicle about Augusta National history. Both articles refer to this locket as the "gold medallion" or "gold piece": http://tinyurl.com/StulbArticle2011 and http://tinyurl.com/StulbArticle2012
