This is an ultra rare, original First Edition of the 1896 book "The Game of Golf" by Willie Park, Jr.  The multi-talented legend not only hoisted two Open Championship Trophies, but also made his mark as a prominent club maker, golf writer and golf course architect during his time.  This example is in overall fair condition with a worn cover, slightly separated flyleaf and moderately tight binding.  Listed with a value of $1,250 within Gilchrist’s Guide to Golf Collectibles however, there is no doubt that this ground breaking book would serve as the cornerstone of many libraries.
