1796 & 1806 Mezzotint Prints
of James Balfour and John Gray

Offered here is original Mezzotint prints of the 1796 & 1806 original paintings by Sir Henry Raeburn of the first secretaries to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, James Balfour and John Gray. Each measures 17" x 13 1/4". There is some age staining, though both are in remarkable condition despite their considerable age.

These 2 mezzotint prints are among the earliest known historic golf prints. The prints measure 17" x 13 1/4", and are each wood framed to 22" x 26".
