The Harry Vardon Trophy is the European Tour’s highest award. It was originally awarded to the lowest scoring average, and is now awarded to the winner of the Race to Dubai (formerly the Order of Merit). Past winners include Rory McIlroy (3x), Henrik Stenson (2x), Colin Montgomerie (8x), Seve Ballesteros (6x), and Bobby Locke (3x).
Offered here is the actual Harry Vardon Trophy that was awarded to Charlie Ward in 1949. Charlie Ward was a prominent English golfer who won the Order of Merit in 1948 and 1949. Ward won virtually every major British tournament with the exception of the Open Championship, where he finished 3rd twice. Ward played on 3 consecutive Ryder Cup Teams from 1947-1951. Charlie Ward's actual Harry Vardon Award trophy stands 8” tall.
