Offered here is Tiger Woods' personal custom Nike Method prototype putter that Tiger autographed on the sole. This prototype putter was produced, with substantial input from Tiger Woods, by celebrated Nike club maker David Franklin at Nike's The Oven facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The putter was hand made from a single block of 303 stainless steel to Tiger's exact specifications. The putter was tested by Tiger during the product design and development phase.

A Nike employee brought this exact putter to a golf course near Tiger's home in Florida. Tiger tested it, reported liked the feel of the putter, but did not like the visual look. Tiger then autographed the putter and sent it back to David Franklin. As he says in his letter of provenance, Franklin took this to mean "good work, but it need[s] refinement." Which is exactly what they did. This prototype putter, and Tiger's resulting feedback, was a primary tool for what would become the Nike Method Origin putter series.

This prototype Tiger Woods Nike putter is stamped with Tiger's signature "TW" logo on the hosel, with "Prototype" etched into the reverse side of the hosel. Nice Tiger Woods autograph on the sole. Custom headcover with TW logo that was made specifically for Tiger Woods.
