Offered here are a group of 3 patent (applied for) "Evolution" neck joint woods by W.P. Smith Sports Co. This group of three bulger head woods have "neckless" designs and unique neck joints. All three clubs in very good condition with only minor marks and wear. Each has a hickory shaft, one with a sheepskin grip and the other two leather.

These clubs originate from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and were featured in his book, The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 144; TCA 2, pp. 167). These clubs have not reached the collector market since their sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
