Offered here are 3 circa 1920s metal face/sole clubs from the famed Jeff Ellis collection: a Robert Simpson "Matchless" Driver and Putter, and a "Dint" by A.G. Spalding & Bros. All three clubs are in very good condition.
These clubs originate from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and these exact clubs were featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 348; TCA 2, p. 426). These clubs have not reached the collector market since thier sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
