Even though he was an amateur phenom, there were no short of doubters as to how well Tiger Woods would transition to the professional game. Those questions were quickly answered when Tiger won the 1996 Last Vegas Invitational in only his 5th PGA Tour start since turning professional. Even better, this victory earned Tiger an invite to the 1997 Masters Tournament, which Tiger would win and catapult him to worldwide fame.
