Alex Patrick was born in 1845, two years before his father, John, set up his club making business in Leven, Scotland. Alex became an apprentice in 1857 before finally taking over the family business in 1866, where he remained for most of his life. The only exception to his tenure as a club and ball maker  in Leven was a two year stint as clubmaker and greenskeeper to the Royal Wimbledon Golf Club.

The all-original clubhead measures 5" in length, 1 3/4" wide, 1 1/8" in depth.  Club was possibly made for a lady in the 1870s because the neck is quite thin and the head is slightly smaller than most from that time. The original 36" green heart shaft has its original neck whipping and a replacement sueded leather grip.

This is another wonderful long nose club, with a smallish but shapely head that is clean and tight.
