Fabulous all-original set. Set Driver Brassie Spoon, soleplate stamped "Register No. 4150 F". The metal shafts are covered with black "indestructo" sheaths. This beautiful set of fancy faced clubs is in outstanding condition. All three inserts match and have the Walker Cup Trophy inside a white circle that is inlayed inside the dramatic black face inserts. The best description given of these is found in Wilson's 1927 catalog, when this particular Walker Cup model was introduced:

"Walker Cup Drivers, Brassies and Spoons are matched in every sense of the word - weight - balance - feel - lie - torsion - and resilience. Natural wood finish. Weight scientifically placed in relation to striking surface. , Fancy metal screw-lock face. Cannot chip or crack from moisture or climatic conditions. Face colors differ on the driver, brassie and spoon. Alumo metal backs, combination alumo and brass sole plate. Bell Top Link treated leather grips. All woods registered. Maybe purchased singly, in pairs, or in matched sets of three. Finest hickory shafts or steel shafts with black De Luxe “Indestructo” protection sheath. For men and women."

Judging from the 38 1/4" driver and brassie, and 37 1/4" spoon, this set was made for a smaller lady or a junior golfer. Talk about pretty!
