Offered here is a collection of items personally owned by Old Tom Morris relating to the death of his son in law, James Hunter. Hunter, who married Old Tom’s daughter Lizzie, died young and quite wealthy. Old Tom was in charge of the Hunter Estate, and these letters relate to the handling of the estate. Each 1886 letter is addressed to Tom Morris at 6 Pilmour Links, St Andrews. Also included is an original 1887 mailing envelope addressed to Tom Morris. Also included is a 3rd letter from 1886 that also referenced James Hunter.

These documents were previously owned by Tom Morris biographer Peter Crabtree, and was part of his legendary collection.
