The head and shaft on this is MacGregor one-piece driver are made from a single solid piece of wood. There is no neck joint. The club measures 42 1/2" in length and the grip appears old. Shaft is stamped "Made by the Crawford McGregor & Camby Co. Dayton, Ohio." The head is marked "J. MacGregor Dayton, O." Original back weight, slender neck.

This club likely saw little use, which probably explains why, in part, that such a slender neck survived to this day. Few MacGregor one-piece clubs are known, and this one is an excellent original example in all respects.
