The crown of these clubs are stamped “Craig Wood Personal Model” and the soles are marked with MacGregor and Winged Foot.  Everything indicates these clubs were made for Craig Wood. Wood won 21 times on tour including the 1941 Masters and US Open.  Wood was the professional at Winged foot from 1945 to 1961.

 Original shafts, cord grips and 5 screw red fiber inserts. Sole plate on the 3 wood has broken in half. The led in the back of the head has swollen slightly on all the woods. Finish is original but shows some wear. Faces are tight, no neck cracks. Sole plates are all marked "Winged Foot Reigistered 287CW".

This is another extremely rare set of classic MacGregor golf clubs with attractive head shapes and strong persimmon. This set has seen better days, but with a little tender love and care the lead can be repaired and the heads will look much better. Or, the lead stays like it is and the clubs will remain untouched, which is never a bad thing.
