Offered here is a set of pre-WWII Ben Hogan "Bap" Offset Model MacGregor irons (2-9) with Hogan 3620 PT stylized putter (10 iron). Unknown to some club collectors is Ben Hogan was under contract to MacGregor from the mid-1930's until his 3 major season in 1953. These hard to find irons are very similar to the Hogan personal models he used in his prime, notably the ridge running across the back of the club. These have period correct brown sheathed shafts-they are not wooden shafts-as the manufacturers in the 1930's often used a coating over a steel shaft to look more like a wooden shaft as consumers were used to that look. This set is a mini-history class on the evolution of golf club design!
The 2 iron is 38.5" and the set is in excellent original condition!
