Offered here is a spectacular original photograph of Bobby Jones putting during the 1929 US Open at Winged Foot. Jones was vying for his 3rd US Open title. He opened the tournament with a 69-75-71 and carried a three stroke lead into the final round. Up several strokes with just four to play, Jones almost let it slip away. After missing the green with his approach on the final hole, he rolled in a twelve footer for par to force a playoff with Al Espinosa. The following day, Jones trounced Espinosa in one of the most lopsided matchups of all time - a whopping 23 stroke victory in the 36 hole playoff. Issued by Underwood and Underwood. A striking image with clean corners. 6 1/2" x 8 1/4". Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA as Type 1.
