Offered here is a very rare and unusual Scotty Cameron Newport 1.5 GSS "Scoty Dale" putter in chromatic bronze finish.
Vog says: Scotty first crafted between 15 and 20 Scottydale, Scottsdale or Scoty Dale putters from the Classic I head in 1993 and 1994, solely for tour players. He made them for the players who were used to looking at the old Ping Anser "Scottsdale" head - a putter with a very "roly-poly" look and a non-glare finish. On these original Scottydales, Scotty shaped the heads by hand and instead of applying a shiny black oxide finish, he used a hand-applied "patina" finish that looked like a well-worn Ping Anser.
He later used the Scottydale name on the 1996 Project XSLC and the 1997 Project TW and ETW for the Japanese market. Around 2007, Scotty resurrected the name on a precious few Newport/009 heads, typically with additional stamps, welded necks, etc. These were either made by custom order (translation: very hard to obtain) or were made for special collector events. This Scotydale is very unusual as it is not a Newport head, but a Newport 1.5, AND it has Scotty Cameron vertically stamped on the face. Now in 2024/2025, we almost never see a vertical stamped putter, much less a Scoty Dale, come from Scotty's studio.
Length is 33", leather grip, in 9.5 condition with a tiny nick on the edge of the toe that frankly can't be seen at address and is difficult to see close up.
Certificate of Authenticity from Scotty Cameron
