Offered here is an S. Cameron Garage putter in chromatic blue at 345g with a bullet bottom sole, circle snow, flange welding, a welded neck, a circle sight dot, a painters palette, and a Circle T stamp. That's the official description. We asked Vog to elaborate as only he can do.
Vog Says: Okay, I am officially floored. What a great group of fantastic Cameron putters we have. Premium Cameron putters for our Premier auction. If I recall, this one one of 8 or 10 special putters Scotty made for the 2010 ICC (International Cameron Collectors) convention. You had to enter a raffle if you wanted to buy one. There were around 100 attendees, and probably 50 guys entered to win a putter - and some guys entered EVERY drawing. This would have been the #1 putter here. It's a Circa style head with bullet sole.
This version of the bullet was done completely by hand after Scotty experimented with a bullet sole in 2005-2006 that was done by the CNC; each one was exactly the same. Scotty might have made a handful of bullet soles in 2010 at most - and each one was different. This is stamped "Garage" keeping up the tradition of Scotty making a select number of special putters each year; in the early years he retreated to his Garage to make them. Starting in 2002, he retreated to a corner of his studio in a creative mood and just crafted.
This one is stamped S. Cameron to designate an extreme amount of work by hand by Scotty himself. Its got a welded neck along with that bullet sole. Its got a bead of weld across the flange. The standard Circa head had square looking lines at the heel and toe; on this one Scotty rounded the heel and toe creating a more elegant, flowing look. It has a hand-applied chromatic blue finish. It's stamped "Garage SPECIAL" a stamping I have seen only a couple of times and probably made over a very short window of time. Its got extra stamping, Circles, JAT (for Just a Thought, something Scotty started doing in the early 90's when he made a sample putter for a specific tour player), its got so much I can't even remember it all! Oh yeah, its got a Painter's Palette stamp and Circle T stamp as well. And the paint fill is "Cameron blue" and has a Cameron blue Circle T cover. This putter would be the centerpiece of even the most experienced Cameron collector!"
This example is unused in 9.8+/10 condition, very rare for this unique finish. 34" with Cameron leather grip.
