Offered here is likely a late 1990's Scotty Cameron Newport Tour with welded slantneck in pro platinum finish, with tour red dots on face and cavity.
Vog says: When I saw this and gave it a good look, I was intrigued. While the COA does not state who it was made for, David Duval is a possibility. For close to a decade the studio has been hesitant to state a putter has been made for a specific player. When I looked at the initials on the face, the metal stamps used are not the custom shop stamps, so it likely wasn't a collector with those initials to be customized. When I looked at the back of the putter, it became a little clearer. Look how the shoulders, which on this head normally slope upwards all the way to the heel and toe, are rounded downward at the heel and toe. Now, look at the bumpers, think about where "Tiger" and "Woods" is stamped on his gamer. Those look to have been hand shaped/softened as well. For the most discriminating tour players, Scotty would soften the lines on a Newport it give it a "roly-poly" look. During a visit to Scotty's early studio in November of 2000, he showed me a GSS Newport he had made for David, and it had a lot of the softened contours that this head has. My best guess is that this was made for Duval.
Condition is used 8.5 out of 10, with minor scratches on the sole and face, 33 3/4" length, with Superstroke grip.
