Bearing the Spalding medallion up near the handle, this antique golf bag is made entirely of leather. It has both a large storage pouch that also doubles for a ball pouch. The pouch zipper works, the strap and handle are still firmly attached. No rips or tears. This bag is much nicer condition that the bulk of what remains from 100 years or more ago.
There is a wrap or two of roofing underlayment material inside the base of the bag so it will stand up and not collapse when holding clubs and placed in an upright position as shown. Though it should be placed in a corner or leaned up against something if used to display clubs. Skinny bags like this are not the most stable to begin with. If put into on course play, the roofing paper can be removed and away you go.
