Designed to offer the golfer an iron that had the feel of a wood, this Cran cleek was produced under an 1897 US design patent issued to James Cran. It was the 10th US patent issued for a golf club.   Both the back of the head and the shaft are stamped "The Spalding." Spalding used this stamp between 1897 and 1900.   The back of the head is also stamped "Cran , Pat June 8, 97"

The shaft measures 38" long and has its original leather grip.. The wood insert, held in by two screws on the back of the head, is original and solid.  This club is in outstanding original condition!
