Unlike nearly ever other putter in existence, this Scott putter has a ridge face—which is to say that, lengthwise, the center of the face projects forward well ahead of the rest of the face. When this putter is placed behind the ball, the thin ridge of the face corresponds to the center of the ball.

This club is entirely original, complete with a long lead backweight .It is marked “A.H. Scott” across its hard-finished leather wrap grip. The grip helps date this otherwise unmarked club to the 1920s.

This is the actual club pictured and described in The Clubmaker’s Art vol 1 p306 that sold at the 2007 Sotheby’s Jeffery B Ellis Antique Golf Auction in New York City. The Sotheby's tag is still attached.
