Offered here is a 1997 Scotty Cameron Tiger Woods Masters Champion Newport putter. Numbered 082 out of 270-one made for each stroke in the tournament.
The putter used by Tiger-a Newport Teryllium "sole stamp" has become almost legendary in itself due to the historical significance of Tiger's win, in addition to the very eye-catching 32 elastomer filled "dots" on the back of the putter. These victory putters were raffled as a way to allocate them to Titleist accounts and originally wholesaled to accounts for $3,000-an unheard of price for a new putter, with the proceeds going to Tiger's foundation.
Condition of the putter is 9.0; the putter is unused and no other visible signs of handling are evident save for a very light scratch on the face-see images. As time passes and the teryllium/copper insert continues to develop a patina, the looks of the scratch should be minimized. The putter also includes not only the wood display but the plexiglass cover. According to our resident Cameron insert "Vog," these were prone to cracking as many were damaged in shipping and thrown away. His best guess is that maybe 50 of these putters with the entire package still exist.
Includes Cameron Art of Putting headcover.
