This lot consists of the walking stick eighth from the left, an all original 34" walking stick stamped "W. Hewitt". Original lead backweight, sole slip with three pegs, face is nicely scored, metal tip at the end.  

 Walking sticks were also sometimes call "Sabbath sticks." The church of Scotland discouraged golf on Sunday, but for some people out for a walk on the 7th day it was not a problem to drop a ball and stroke it along with their walking stick reversed.  Ball is for perspective only and is not included in this lot.
