Original Dave Pelz "The Teacher" Putter

        Presented here is the famous - or shall we say infamous - "The Teacher" putter by famed short-game guru Dave Pelz.  In 1975, Dave Pelz took a leave of absence from his job at NASA and started Preceptor Golf with the sole purpose of manufacturing and marketing The Teacher putter.  Unfortunately, the USGA ruled that The Teacher putter was illegal and production was immediately halted.  The USGA later allowed a modified version of The Teacher to be used in sanctioned events, but eventually banned that modified putter in 1996.

        Presented in this auction is an incredible, original Patent Pending "The Teacher" putter.  This putter is all-original and is one of the finer examples we've come across.
