Augusta National Pin Flag from 1986 Masters w/ Employee Letter

Presented here is an actual, tournament-use flag from one of the most famous Masters Tournaments of all-time. This very flag was flying at Augusta National when 46 year old Jack Nicklaus came charging from behind to dramatically take home his 6th Masters Tournament victory and 18th total Major. From 1979 to 1997, Augusta National Golf Club flags were used on the course during the Masters Tournament (this is still common during the practice rounds). Our consignor was an Augusta National Employee at the time (he is also the one consigning many of the other rare Augusta National items that are being offered elsewhere in this auction). He secured this flag immediately after Jack Nicklaus' dramatic victory, and has kept it ever since. This flag comes with a letter from the former Augusta National employee attesting to its authenticity.
