Payne Stewart
Tournament-Worn Outfit
The late
Payne Stewart is certainly one of of the most popular golfers of the past couple
decades. His death just months after winning the 1999 U.S. Open sent shockwaves
through the golf world. It also resulted in a scramble by golf collectors to
obtain any authentic pieces of Payne Stewart memorabilia.
Presented here is surely the finest
Payne Stewart item that we have ever offered - an actual Tournament-Worn and
signed golf outfit of the late Payne Stewart. This ensemble was originally
donated by Payne Stewart to Operation Liftoff, a Springfield, MO charity
benefiting Children with life threatening illnesses by providing air
transportation to treatment facilities. Payne Stewart gave Operation Liftoff one
of his ensembles that included an autographed cap and golf shirt and his
trademarked knickers. All three items have the Payne Stewart tagging label with
the shirt having a Marriott monogram as well. The autographs grade a "9" and
come with letters of authenticity from Operation Liftoff, former sports auction
house MastroNet Inc. and Green Jacket Auctions.
