Actual Course Flag from Prestwick

        Presented here is an actual course flag from Prestwick Golf Club. Prestwick is famous for being the initial sponsor of the Open Championship. In all, Prestwick hosted the Open Championship 24 times before it was deemed too small to adequately handle the number of spectators that attend the tournament each year. Spectacularly, Old Tom Morris, Young Tom Morris and Willie Park, Sr. each won 4 British Opens at Prestwick. It was also the sport where Harry Vardon picked up his 4th, 5th and record 6th Open Championship titles. This is an actual flag that was obtained directly from Prestwick, but it was never actually used on the course.
