The Ryder Cup
Actual 18th Hole Flag from
Justin Leonard's 1997 Open Championship

The Justin Leonard Collection
In this auction, we are very pleased to offer some incredible pieces of golf
memorabilia from Justin Leonard's longtime caddie, Bob Riefke. When we first
spoke with Riefke, he shared with us a treasure trove of memorabilia obtained
during his many years "inside the ropes." Now, Riefke has decided that these
great items will be better appreciated by collectors across the world.
In addition to receiving a large paycheck at the end of a tournament win,
caddies famously remove and keep the pin flag from the 18th green. Representing
the highlights of their career, these tournament-used flags are treasured by
caddies. As you can imagine, these flags are also highly sought-after by
collectors. Presented here is one of the finest such examples in existence - the
actual 18th hole flag from the 1997 Open Championship, which was won by Justin
Leonard. Also, if the winning bidder so desires, Riefke still has the original
pin on which this flag hung (yes, he took the entire pin and flew with it home
to the U.S.!!!), and can arrange to have it shipped at the winning bidder's
expense.
This one-of-a-kind flag comes with a letter of authenticity from Justin
Leonard's longtime caddie, Bob Riefke.
