Al Geiberger's Player's Money Clip
from 1975 TPC Victory
The
"Mr. 59" Al Geiberger Collection
In this auction, we have the extreme pleasure of offering virtually the entire
collection of "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger. Ryan and Bob recently flew out to Palm
Springs to shoot Mr. Geiberger and his collection for the Pilot episode of a new
reality TV show based on Green Jacket Auctions. While we were there, Al
Geiberger decided that rather than continuing to keep his collection packed away
in a California storage facility, he felt that it was his duty to share his
memorabilia with the world. Nothing was off limits to Green Jacket
Auctions. We came home with some of the most historic pieces of golf memorabilia
that we have ever offered, including Al Geiberger's Wannamaker Trophy and his
actual golf clubs from the 59 Round. We hope that you enjoy viewing - and
bidding on - the "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger collection.
Player's Money Clip from 1975 TPC Victory
Money Clips have long been given to
players as their credentials at golf tournaments. Offered here is the original
player's money clip that was given to Al Geiberger for the 1975 Tournament
Players Championship (now called The PLAYERS Championship) - a tournament that
Geiberger would go on to win. The first year of golf's "5th Major" was 1974,
which was won by Jack Nicklaus. Al Geiberger won the 1975 tournament, before
Jack won again in 1976. This original 1975 TPC money clip comes with a letter of
authenticity from Al Geiberger himself.
