1934 Masters Program
Significant Vintage Masters Signed Poster
w/ Claude Harmon, Jimmy Demaret, Craig Wood, etc
This is certainly one of
the finest Masters autographed pieces we've ever offered. This significant
11"x14" poster was produced for the 1966 Masters Tournament and was included as an
insert in the unofficial Masters Program that year. It depicts caricatures of
the 18 past Masters Champions. Amazingly, this vintage poster contains the autographs
of 16 of these Masters Champions, including some of the scarcest Masters Autographs in
existence - Claude Harmon (1948 Masters Champion), Jimmy Demaret
(1940,1947 & 1950 Masters Champion), and Craig Wood (1941 Masters Champion),
each of whom passed away before the autograph craze caught on. Also on this historic poster are the
autographs of the late Herman Keiser, Art Wall, Cary Middlecoff, Gene Sarazen,
Byron Nelson, Henry Picard, Ben Hogan and Sam Snead, in addition to signatures of Nicklaus, Palmer,
Player, Ford and Burke.
To recap, that's one poster with autographed caricatures of 16 of the 18
pre-1966 Masters Champs, 11 of which are now deceased. This poster also
represents one of the only times you will see two of the rarest golf autographs
in the world - Craig Wood and Claude Harmon - together on the same piece.
